Appfox Subscriptions integrates with popular marketing and CRM platforms to sync subscription data, send events, and reward loyalty. Connect your tools in the Integrations page to automate workflows based on subscription activity.

Available integrations

Appfox Subscriptions supports the following integrations:
  • Cordial CRM — Sync subscription and customer data to your Cordial account
  • Klaviyo — Send subscription events to Klaviyo for email campaigns and flows
  • LoyaltyLion — Award loyalty points to subscribers automatically
  • Zapier — Trigger Zapier workflows when subscriptions are created or updated

Cordial CRM

Sync subscription data and customer information to your Cordial account for advanced segmentation and personalized campaigns.

What it does

The Cordial integration syncs:
  • Subscription contract details
  • Customer subscription status (active, paused, cancelled)
  • Billing information and recurring order data
  • Customer lifecycle events (new subscription, cancellation, reactivation)
You can use this data in Cordial to build targeted campaigns and customer segments based on subscription behavior.

How to connect

1

Get your Cordial API key

Log into your Cordial account and navigate to Account SettingsAPI Keys. Copy your API key.
2

Open Integrations in Appfox

In Appfox, click Settings (or Merchant dashboard), then click Integrations.
3

Connect Cordial

Find the Cordial CRM card and click Connect.
4

Enter your API key

Paste your Cordial API key into the Cordial API Key field.
5

Save

Click Save Integration to enable the connection.
Once connected, subscription data syncs automatically. You can view synced records in your Cordial dashboard under the appropriate contact segments.

Klaviyo

Send subscription events to Klaviyo to build targeted email campaigns and automated flows based on subscriber behavior.

What it does

The Klaviyo integration sends events when:
  • A new subscription is created
  • A subscription is cancelled
  • A subscription is paused or resumed
  • Billing succeeds or fails
  • Other subscription lifecycle events occur
These events appear in Klaviyo as custom events associated with the customer’s profile. You can trigger flows and segment customers based on these events.

How to connect

1

Get your Klaviyo Private API Key

Log into Klaviyo and go to AccountSettingsAPI Keys. Create or copy a Private API Key (starts with pk_).
2

Open Integrations in Appfox

In Appfox, click Settings (or Merchant dashboard), then click Integrations.
3

Connect Klaviyo

Find the Klaviyo card and click Connect.
4

Enter your Private API Key

Paste your Klaviyo Private API Key (starts with pk_) into the field.
5

Save

Click Save Integration to enable the connection.
Make sure you use a Private API Key (starts with pk_), not a Public API Key. Public keys will not work for this integration.

Building flows in Klaviyo

After connecting, you can create flows in Klaviyo triggered by subscription events:
  • Welcome new subscribers: Trigger a flow when a new subscription is created
  • Win-back cancelled subscribers: Send an email when a subscription is cancelled
  • Payment failure recovery: Alert customers when a billing attempt fails
See your Klaviyo dashboard for the full list of subscription events sent by Appfox.

LoyaltyLion

Award loyalty points to subscribers automatically based on recurring orders and subscription milestones.

What it does

The LoyaltyLion integration:
  • Awards base points for each subscription order
  • Applies a multiplier to subscription orders (e.g., 1.5× points for subscribers)
  • Tracks subscription loyalty milestones
  • Syncs points to customer LoyaltyLion profiles
You can configure the base points and multiplier to reward subscribers more than one-time purchasers.

How to connect

1

Get your LoyaltyLion credentials

Log into LoyaltyLion and navigate to SettingsAPI. Copy your Token and Secret.
2

Open Integrations in Appfox

In Appfox, click Settings (or Merchant dashboard), then click Integrations.
3

Connect LoyaltyLion

Find the LoyaltyLion card and click Connect.
4

Enable and configure

In the LoyaltyLion modal:
  • Toggle Enable LoyaltyLion on
  • Enter your Token and Secret
  • Set Points: The base points awarded per subscription order
  • Set Multiplier: Multiply points by this value for subscription orders (e.g., 1.5 for 50% bonus)
5

Save

Click Save Integration to enable point rewards.
A multiplier of 1.0 awards the base points with no bonus. Set it to 1.5 to give subscribers 50% more points, or 2.0 to double their points compared to one-time orders.

Zapier

Send subscription create and update events to Zapier webhook URLs to trigger custom workflows in your other tools.

What it does

The Zapier integration sends HTTP POST requests to your webhook URLs when:
  • A new subscription is created
  • A subscription is updated (paused, resumed, frequency changed, product swapped, etc.)
You can use these webhooks to trigger Zaps in Zapier, which can then:
  • Add subscribers to a Google Sheet
  • Send a Slack notification when a subscription is created
  • Create tasks in your project management tool
  • Update records in your CRM or database
  • Anything else Zapier supports

How to connect

1

Create webhook triggers in Zapier

In Zapier, create a new Zap and choose Webhooks by Zapier as the trigger. Select Catch Hook and copy the webhook URL.You’ll need two webhook URLs:
  • One for new subscription events
  • One for subscription update events
2

Open Integrations in Appfox

In Appfox, click Settings (or Merchant dashboard), then click Integrations.
3

Connect Zapier

Find the Zapier card and click Connect.
4

Enter your webhook URLs

Paste the webhook URLs:
  • New subscription hook URL: The webhook URL for new subscription events
  • Subscription update hook URL: The webhook URL for subscription update events
5

Save

Click Save Integration to enable the webhooks.

Testing the connection

After saving, trigger a test event (e.g., create a test subscription) and check your Zapier dashboard to see if the webhook was received. You can then build your Zap actions based on the webhook payload.
Webhook payloads include subscription contract details, customer information, and the event type. Use Zapier’s webhook data viewer to inspect the full payload structure.

Managing connections

To update or disconnect an integration:
  1. Go to Integrations in Appfox
  2. Find the integration card
  3. Click Manage (for connected integrations)
  4. Update the settings or clear the API key/webhook URL to disconnect
  5. Click Save Integration
When you disconnect an integration, Appfox stops sending data to that platform immediately.

Troubleshooting

Cordial: Data not syncing

  • Verify your API key is correct and has permission to write contact data
  • Check your Cordial account for API rate limits or errors
  • Ensure the contacts exist in Cordial before expecting subscription data to appear

Klaviyo: Events not appearing

  • Confirm you’re using a Private API Key (starts with pk_), not a Public API Key
  • Wait a few minutes for events to appear in Klaviyo (they’re sent asynchronously)
  • Check the customer profile in Klaviyo to see if the event is listed under Activity

LoyaltyLion: Points not awarded

  • Verify Enable LoyaltyLion is toggled on
  • Check that your Token and Secret are correct
  • Make sure the customer has a LoyaltyLion account linked to their Shopify customer record

Zapier: Webhooks not received

  • Test the webhook URL manually with a tool like Postman to confirm it’s reachable
  • Check Zapier’s task history to see if the webhook was received but the Zap failed
  • Verify the webhook URL is correct and hasn’t expired (Zapier URLs can expire if unused)
